After Anastasia Steele leaves Christian Grey, he has nightmares about his abusive childhood. I was left so disgusted by this book that I wanted to purge the memory of its existence from my mind. They used phrases that Americans don't use. Honestly, why is this even published? FSoG lacked depth and emotion big time.

And we're treated to her alternately being angry about the pain and humiliation she faced at Christian's hands, and chastising herself for being a failure and for being mean to Christian. The constant repetitions are enough to make someone suicidal! I can understand how her vulnerability could make you warm to her, but it just made me frustrated more than anything.
